Gin tasting is the experience most people book with us, and it is easy to see why. Gin has a huge flavour range, it is easy to enjoy, and it quickly becomes both social and educational. Here is how a gin tasting with Cask & Bottle actually works.

What happens at a gin tasting?

We sit down with four gins, the right tonic for each one, and garnishes that bring out the best in every bottle. Along the way we talk about juniper, botanicals, how gin is made, and why two gins with the same ABV can taste completely different.

You choose the theme:

• •Tonic test - same gin, four different tonics
• •Gin cocktails - Negroni, Martini and Gimlet

Where do we host it?

We have our own venue at Tollbugata 19 in central Oslo, where we host everything from small groups of friends to company events. We are also happy to come to your home or office.

What does a gin tasting cost?

A standard gin tasting is 590 NOK per person. Premium, with rarer and more exclusive bottles, is 990 NOK per person. The minimum total price for a tasting is 2000 NOK.

How long does it take?

The tasting itself usually runs 1.5 to 2 hours. We block 3 hours in the calendar so there is time to set up before and pack down after.

Is it right for us?

Gin tasting works just as well for bachelor parties, birthdays, company events and Christmas parties. And if someone in the group "does not like gin", chances are they will still find a style they enjoy. It happens almost every time.
