At our venue in Tollbugata 19 we put together private tastings for couples who want a different kind of night out. You get your own table, a personal host, and a curated selection of drams in proper Glencairn glasses.

What you get

We curate 4 to 6 different wines, spirits or beers around a theme you pick. Combinations that work especially well for couples:

We usually spend about two hours, with small snacks along the way matched to what you drink.

You do something together instead of sitting next to each other. There is always something easy to talk about when you describe what you taste in the glass. You learn something you can take with you, and there is no big crowd around you. Just the two of you and the host.

A small tip: do not eat too heavy right before. Flavours come through better with a light base in your stomach. A walk along the harbour beforehand, or dinner at one of the central restaurants after, rounds the evening off nicely.
