Ardbeg also has one of the most loyal followings in whisky. Every year special bottlings sell out in hours, and the secondary market prices speak for themselves.

We have spent a long time building a selection that lets you taste Ardbeg across styles and years. You will find things like:

Ardbeg tasting: bottles head to head
The best way to understand a distillery is to taste several bottlings side by side. So we run Ardbeg tastings where the bottles go head to head and you feel the differences yourself.
How it works:
- •We line up several Ardbeg bottlings side by side
- •We go through what sets them apart: age, cask, strength and filtration
- •We taste with and without a drop of water so you see how much it changes the smoke
- •We vote for the favourite at the end of the night
It usually turns into a friendly competition, and people rarely agree. That is the whole point.
Who it is for
An Ardbeg tasting works for friends, birthdays, bachelor parties or colleagues who want something other than yet another dinner. We host in our own venue at Tollbugata 19 in central Oslo, and we can also come to you.
We take groups from 2 people, and the tasting usually lasts 1.5 to 2 hours.
New to peat?
If someone in the group is sceptical about peat smoke, just tell us. We start gently and build up, and we happily bring a bottle that shows how broad the smoke can be. In our experience most sceptics change their mind by the second glass.
